Thoughts…
This week’s thoughts are directed towards John the Baptist. We just honored his nativity this week and it got me to thinking. Those of us who pray the Liturgy of the Hours recognize that in the morning prayer each day, that we recite the Canticle of Zechariah. And a bit of it is such, “You, My child shall be called The prophet of the Most High, For you will go before the Lord to prepare His way, To give his people knowledge of salvation By the forgiveness of their sins.”
He was born to be a pro-claimer, to offer the Good News. We should follow his example and do the same. We can begin this weekend at family gatherings.
Offer praise and honor to Almighty God for all the blessings in our life. And then proclaim the Good news from God by our words and deeds. And if you are interested in learning more about the Liturgy of the Hours, please ask either Father Bill or me and we would be happy to show and explain these ancient prayers.
God love and bless you,
