Pentecost. Can you imagine the disciples’ friends standing nearby in shock, listening to these people who a short time ago were hiding in a room for fear of the authorities? And now they are in the depths of the center of Jerusalem, boldly proclaiming the Good News to all. We should take a lesson from the early disciples, willing to stand against the secular view of the world, putting on the armor of God, and proclaim in word and deed all that Jesus has commanded us.
“Love one another as I have loved you. As I have died to self, so must you.”
Be most concerned with the welfare of your neighbor, both close and far. So, my friends, call forth the Holy Spirit and ask for the wisdom and strength to carry on this most important of all works.
God love and bless you,
Deacon Armand
